Hello Sunshine!!!

The store has been fun and busy this week.  Everyone has been  Spring Cleaning and getting ready for the upcoming wedding season.  We are very excited to currently have three brides registered at the store.  People love to purchase gifts from us,  because they know that their gift will be professionally wrapped and delivered to the shower or wedding at no additional charge.  Did you know that we offer fine china as well as trendy home décor for your home?  If you have time,  stop in and see all of the new, fun and fashionable home décor from TAG. 

Dream Baskets also is looking forward to the new Vera Bradley handbags that will be arriving within the next two weeks.  We love SPRING!!!  Bright and colorful and just in time for the upcoming travel season.

Do you have your Switch Flops for Spring?  Do you need new switches for your last years Switch Flops?  We have a brand new shipment arriving Monday.  Very excited since the weather is suppose to warm up next week.  Switch Flops are so fun and functional.  You buy one pair of shoes and then several switches to have several complete new pairs of shoes.  What a great concept.

It seems premature,  but we are also planning for the upcoming Trade Show in Atlanta in July.  We have so much fun in Atlanta.  So many new products for Fall and Christmas merchandise makes shopping in July so much fun!   At Dream Baskets  we are always looking for new, exciting products to bring to our customers.  We have Big plans for 4^th Quarter…can’t wait to surprise everyone with new products and services at Dream Baskets!

Small town business… LOVES INTERNET Marketing & Social Networking!!

If you would have told me a year ago that Internet Marketing and Social Networking would be a major part of Dream Baskets‘ advertising campaign,  I would have told you ~ not in a million years!!! After much hesitation and alot of stumbling around,  Dream Baskets is now alive and well on the internet.  So who would have thought that a  small town business like ours could use social networking  and the internet to reach customers all over the country.  In March 2010,  we acquired the Sissy Made It Company and that substantially peaked our interest in e-commerce and internet marketing.  We have over 400 retail customers across the country and that brought to our attention the potential that  is available using internet marketing, blogging and social networking!!!  Take advantage of the resources that are  available to you  and bring your small business up on the internet radar!!!  There is no real cost to you,  simply your time, which is necessary to get the information out about your business.  Increasing your google rating is key to driving your business on the internet.   We are very excited to begin the next phase of internet presence with E-commerce.   We have just launched the site,  and by May 1, 2011,  we plan to have all of our e-commerce items online and ready for purchase.  Everyone at Dream Baskets is excited about this next phase of our business.  With custom embroidery, bridal registries, catering, jewelry, and our unique gifts,  we are overwhelmed with possiblities and hopeful that staying connected via social networking, internet blogging and internet marketing will allow us to remain competitive and successful in this tough economy.  Happy marketing and if we can do it~ so can you!!!

Stadium Stompers

This has been one busy week.  We have received some of our new merchandise and much to our surprise,  it has flown out of the store.  We have already re-ordered and will be patiently waiting next week for the UPS & FED EX drivers to deliver.  In addition,  we will be receiving our new Baby and Youth lines of clothing and accessories.  So much going on at Dream Baskets, which always makes for fun and fabulous days!! 

We’ve been looking at these fun books and trying to decide if our customers would love these “Stadium Stompers“

We have to deliver to the BETA Club at Eldorado Middle School.  They did very well with their recent fundraiser and we wish them tons of luck at Nationals!  We are also going to be busy baking for the Harrisburg Middle School fundraiser, and wow can those kids sell!  They have managed to raise funds for a trip they go on at the end of the year! 

With January almost behind us,  we are so excited to see what 2011 has in store at Dream Baskets!  We are going to continue to look for new and exciting things to offer our customers.  The launching of our new website is keeping us super busy and the opportunity to finally go with a true ecommerce website is just so exciting!!!

It’s Almost Flip Flop Weather!!!

The temperature hit 45 degrees today and for some people,  the 50 degree mark is “Flip Flop” Weather!  We’ve got good news for you Flip Flop lovers!  First,  we are so excited about our new “Flip Flop” Organizers that arrived in the store today!   If you haven’t heard of the “Bee Keeper”,  you just don’t know what you are missing.  You can easily keep 8 pairs of flip flops neatly organized in your closet!!!

The best news of all is that the new Lindsay Phillips Switchflops will be arriving next week!  There are so many fun colors and styles that we can’t wait for you to come in and pick out new switches and snaps from the new spring line!  It’s okay if you want to grab another pair of switchflops while you are here ~ we won’t mind!

Wow – Where did January go?

I can not believe that today is January 23rd.  Dream Baskets is being transformed into Spring and each day new merchandise is arriving.  Everyone at the store is so excited for our customers to view the new products.  We are thinking about hosting a ladies shopping night and serve samples from our store as well as taste local wines from our area.  In addition,  we would offer a special discount to customers who join us from 6 -8 p.m. on the evening of the event.  Would you come?  Tell us what you think.  We thought is would be a great “Ladies Night Out” and a fun night to shop and visit with friends!   Keep watching the blog for the event to be scheduled in February!!

The store is a buzz!!!

Wow!  For a snow day,  we enjoyed some great company from our loyal customers!!  Lunch was all the buzz today as we enjoyed the company of the retired teachers as well as lots of other loyal customers who braved the weather to enjoy some savory potato soup!   New merchandise is arriving daily and today we received our Hoagie and Sub Relish from Wickles!!!  Tomorrow we should receive our pickles and peppers from them!!! Can’t wait for everyone to taste the freshness of the Wickles products! 

We also are developing our Spirit Store!  We hope you are as excited as we are!  Dream Baskets will offer school attire for all of our area schools!!!  We will definately post pictures soon.  Tshirts, headbands, hats, wind breakers and so much more!!!

Tonight I have been busy going over information for the upcoming wedding this weekend!  I really hope the wedding holds out,  becasue the Bride and her mother have planned for a very long time and I would like for the event to not be hampered by the weather.
