If you would have told me a year ago that Internet Marketing and Social Networking would be a major part of Dream Baskets‘ advertising campaign, I would have told you ~ not in a million years!!! After much hesitation and alot of stumbling around, Dream Baskets is now alive and well on the internet. So who would have thought that a small town business like ours could use social networking and the internet to reach customers all over the country. In March 2010, we acquired the Sissy Made It Company and that substantially peaked our interest in e-commerce and internet marketing. We have over 400 retail customers across the country and that brought to our attention the potential that is available using internet marketing, blogging and social networking!!! Take advantage of the resources that are available to you and bring your small business up on the internet radar!!! There is no real cost to you, simply your time, which is necessary to get the information out about your business. Increasing your google rating is key to driving your business on the internet. We are very excited to begin the next phase of internet presence with E-commerce. We have just launched the site, and by May 1, 2011, we plan to have all of our e-commerce items online and ready for purchase. Everyone at Dream Baskets is excited about this next phase of our business. With custom embroidery, bridal registries, catering, jewelry, and our unique gifts, we are overwhelmed with possiblities and hopeful that staying connected via social networking, internet blogging and internet marketing will allow us to remain competitive and successful in this tough economy. Happy marketing and if we can do it~ so can you!!!

Congrats on such an exciting adventure!
I know I’ve already shared this with you in person, but thought I’d go ahead and share it here, too. I moved away after college and find myself missing the ‘burg. My sisters and I often have lunch at Dreambaskets when I’m in town and it has become a very special place for us. I check your webpage for the weekly menu and let them know all the goodies you have in store. When you joined Facebook, I was really happy to be able to keep up with all the new products and excitement. Recently, on a day I was driving down, I saw that Italian Beef was on the menu, so I made my reservation and, three hours later when I got to town, it was waiting for me in the fridge!! Delicious!! Thank you for helping feel that I’m still a hometown girl!
On a professional level, thanks for sharing your experiences with social media’s marketing potential. I’m about to begin a job promoting a non-profit group via facebook, twitter, blogs, and website content. Looking forward to being in touch as we get creative online! Cheers to you all! xoxoxo Lisa
